Lagos Mainland Local government hosted the YMonitor grassroots engagement series last Tuesday, April 30. The event had in attendance community leaders, CDA Chairmen and active citizens as well as members of the management team of Lagos Mainland LGA

At the event, participants were able to pour out their mind on the state of infrastructure within the local government, they also urged the local government to be more responsive and active. Bad local roads, poor drainages, poor service delivery on the part of the electricity regulatory body were amongst the issues that were discussed at the program.

Citizens complained that in the past, they have raised these issues of infrastructural deficit as well as poor maintenance of existing ones, yet the status quo remained the same. They however stated that they have a cordial relationship in terms of interaction with the LGA.
